Details: FOSSMeet is an annual event on Free and Open Source Software at National Institute of Technology Calicut. This event brings together FOSS enthusiasts from all over India. The 2010 edition of the event is scheduled to be held during February 5 to 7, 2010.

It started as FLOSS Meet @ NIT Calicut in 2005 which was a single day event. It is being conducted at NIT Calicut annually since then. During this period, it has evolved into one of the biggest Free Software conferences in India.

FOSSMeet 2010 is the 6th edition of this attempt at popularizing Free and Open Source Software in India.

FOSSMeet is jointly organized by NIT Calicut's Student Groups: FOSSCell NITC, Computer Society of India (CSI), Computer Science and Engineering Association (CSEA), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Free Software Users' Group Calicut.

Details: The objective of Amrita Film Festival 2010 organized by the Department of Visual Media and Communication and Media Association of Amrita at the Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi is to motivate and inculcate the spirit of good cinema. 

Festival facilitates an exquisite visual expression of the most exciting and thought-provoking social, and adventure-related feature and documentary films around the world. The Alumni Members of the Department are also taking active interest in organizing the festival. The festival will be held on 6th and 7th February 2010. Our launching objectives also include inculcating taste for quality films, promoting and providing an opportunity for audience to appreciate and encourage films of unique character. To add colour to the Festival there will be competitions in Short films, Public Awareness Ad film Campaigns, Quiz and also a Painting Exhibition.
