Details: Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Education Research (MAEER), Pune established in 1983 is well known educational trust providing KG to PG education. MAEER is truly multi-campus and multi-disciplinary organization conducting university approved academic programs in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medicine and Polytechnic. Approximately 55,000 students study in various institutions of MAEER at any one time. The student community represents entire cross section of the country. At present it is functioning under the able leadership of Prof.(Dr.) Vishwanath D.Karad, Founder and Director General, MAEER, Pune. MIT College Of Engineering (MITCOE) formerly known as MIT Women Engineering College(MITWEC), an initiative of MAEER, was established in 2001 with a view to develop academic excellence. It is functioning under the able guidance of Prof. Mangesh T. Karad, Executive Director, MITCOE,Pune. MITCOE is approved by All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE) and affiliated to University of Pune. The college runs Bachelor of Engineering courses in Electronics & Telecommunication, Computers, Information Technology and Mechanical. M.E. Course in IT and E & TC has also been introduced from the current year. University of Pune has authorized one faculty member to guide research for the award of Ph.D. degree in the department of mathematics and in the department of atmospheric & space sciences at this college. This college also offers a post graduate MBA course. A state-of-the-art infrastructure has been developed for each discipline of study. Well-planned laboratories are built around a modular concept and are equipped with latest equipments. A highly conducive atmosphere exists to get the best of the industries to the college resulting in project sponsorships, seminars and workshops.
