Workshop on
“Resource Politics, Climate Change, Environmental Degradation and
Displacement in India

· Resettlement and rehabilitation of the displaced persons – ethical, legal and institutional mechanisms and practices (special emphasis may be given to the people displaced due to environmental degradation)

· Gender Dimensions of displacement, Vulnerabilities, and Justice

Lecturer/assistant professor/researchers from the disciplines of Anthropology,
Economics, Education, Law, Media Studies, Political Science, Population Studies,
Sociology, Social Work, Women’s Studies, functionaries of NGOs and activists.

Applications shall be judged on their merit. The number of participants will not
exceed 25. Limited travel assistance, depending on the availability of funds, can be
provided. Boarding and lodging shall be provided free of cost. The selected
candidates will be informed by the end of December.
